AARCS - Bowser

The many situations that dogs who are rescued from by AARCS come from are truly heartbreaking.  This is especially the case with Bowser.  This dog is so sweet and truly deserves a loving home. He touched my heart and I hope he quickly find a home to bring out the best in him and make him feel safe. In the meantime, he is with the best foster parents possible. This is Bowser- his profile says it all!
Hello! My name is Bowser. I’m an extra large guy with a heart to match. When rescuers came to find me I had a leash embedded around my neck and was tied up outside. The vet carefully cut the leash off of me and I have never felt so good. I then made the trek into Calgary to start a whole new life.
I was pretty shut down when I first got here. Didn’t really know what was happening. My foster parents tried to get me in their house for 2 hours. I had never been in a house before and didn’t want to get in trouble. Once I realized I was allowed in, I never looked back. I love snuggling and just hanging out. I get along great with all the resident dogs and the cat. I wouldn’t mind being in a house with other animals or just by myself. As long as I get lots of love from my family I will be happy forever.
My foster mom always tells me how great I am on the leash. I don’t get why she is so impressed…it’s not rocket science. I do tend to get a little stressed on car rides but I am working on that. I like to play with my foster parents but don’t quite know how to play with the other dogs here. They just seem to jump around in circles….I would rather lay and get a belly rub!
If you have room for me in your family please fill out an application today. I know you will fall in love with me the moment you see me.

Cadbury - AARCS

Here is a lovely little boy that I shot for AARCS a couple of days ago.  I rarely have cats in to the studio as they are generally MUCH happier in their own environments.  But Cadbury was just the opposite.  He came out snuggly and inquisitive and ready to be petted.  The studio flashes didn't freak him out and he was completely entranced with a piece of string!  I fell in love with him - if you are looking for a cat, he is absolutely an amazing choice! Here's his link and bio:

Cadbury was rescued from a rural area during the brutal cold snap in February.   We are glad that we were able to get to him in time, before he ended up freezing to death.   This handsome fellow is not only adorable, but he’s incredibly friendly & docile to boot!  We believe that he is a young adult as he’s quite energetic and playful.  He seems a little shy & hesitant with other cats so we think he’d do best with another young kitty who just wants someone to play with and won’t get too territorial or bossy.  Cadbury seems to really appreciate the company of dogs and thinks they are his friends too!

Cooter

Shannon set this shoot up as surprise for her husband - and kept it a surprise for a couple of months! We had an awesome fall day getting shots of Cooter.  He is SUCH a sweetheart! Here is one of the final composite's we put together for them.  These are his "personality" looks, (though he is just one big pile of personality!). Have I ever mentioned how much I love working with dogs?
